I’d like to stand and read them all as well, but feel like a bit of a git reading flyers in the stairwell when I could be going up to the store to buy some records, or down to my car to take my records home and play them. Didn’t stop me from standing long enough to take the picture I guess.
I was such a record geek for many years—haunting the nyc, boston, sf stores for rare xtc singles, japanese imports…sadly, this was before digital cameras…
Thanks Miles. I was experimenting with a 50/2 lens I bought in Australia. I pretty much always use it wide open. It’s an old collapsible Summitar for the Leica M. Pretty nice.
d2x has a pretty bad cost/performance ratio, if you ask me. it’s just another overprices pices of hardware, or a toy. for $5KI can buy a middle format camera with an excellent lens that outperforms the d2x by image quality so much, that’s it’s not even worth to talk about. but yeah, it’s a good business for nikon, canon, you name it…
I’m on vacation in Carmel at the moment, viewing this on a computer at a public internet place. Very bad monitor, Makes my stuff look very bad. I hope this is not what most folks see when they visit.

yeah. leicas are alright. they’re no nikon d2x though. now there is a real mans camera.
